Went to an settlement at the very start of the game. Can't remember the name of it or the group but it's a bit south west of shady sands. Went there to look for side quests to make a bit of cash hoping for something simple like killing a few radscorpions or something (no idea if there's any minor quests like that in the first one).

It seems odd to me that the Tunnel Snakes are more popular than the Kings and Atom Cats. The Tunnel Snakes are barely a "Gang" while The Kings rule over Freeside and the Atom Cats rule the Commonwealth while sporting stylish custom Power Armor. Also, contrary to popular belief, the Tunnel Snakes do not "rule".

Geckos. God, I hate geckos. They freak me out so damn much. The way they run at you with their blank eyes and mouths hanging wide open is just fucking scary. I've been wanting to play NV for a long time but every time I start it up I can't even muster the courage to fight the geckos in the damn tutorial.
