Just before 5:40 PM on April 9, 2017, after passengers had been seated in an Embraer 170 operating as United Express Flight 3411 that was still at the gate, the United Express gate agent announced that four passengers would be involuntarily removed to accommodate four Republic employees traveling to cover an unstaffed flight at another location.
