How to remove a claim from a territory?
To remove your claim from a territory, simply demolish the territory claim flag. This will instantly change the island's status from "claimed" to "unclaimed.". Demolishing your flag will create an item cache containing all items that were previously stored in your claim flag. This cache will decay over time.
What happens if you run out of gold in the Claim Flag?
If the stored gold runs out, the company will lose the claim of the island and all of the earned taxes within the Claim Flag. It will get easier to claim for others, because enemy players don't need to place their flag within the radius of an already expired flag.
Where to place a claim flag?
Place your Claim Flag on an island, or on a enemy ship. If the island is already claimed by someone else, place it within the radius of an already existing Claim Flag to contest it. Place the Claim Flag when it glows green. If it is red you will contest another claimed area.
Can you claim a lawless region?
You can not claim a Lawless Region. Can't place Territory Claim Flag: Can't Place on Floor. You need to place a Claim Flag on the ground or a ship. Placement here will contest (Company name of current claim) If you place a claim flag here, you will be trying to claim land in which another Company has already claimed.
Do settlements require gold coins?
In addition to the required Island Points, settlements require a periodic payment of Gold Coins. The upkeep cost scales with the size of the settlement. Costs are sometimes different on PVE and PVP server, but not always.
Can you put a claim flag in a lawless region?
You cannot place a claim flag in a Lawless region, you will always just have a red un-placeable claim flag in that grid.
