From Ascalon Settlement Waypoint, head east out the gate and follow the road north and its turn west up a hill. Head to the top of the hill towards the large tower, then face south and jump on the building with the vista. Not difficult if you follow the path (see image).
Where is the Ascalon settlement?
Ascalon Settlement. The Ascalon Settlement is a walled township within Gendarran Fields situated between two hills. It is populated by descendants of humans who fled from Ascalon in 1072 AE after the charr took over.
Is Ascalon a villager?
Villager (2): Ascalon has a long history of conflict with primitive races. Centuries ago, it was the charr. Now, it's centaurs.
Initial dialogue
"I've been trying to tell your friends here how to get to the Ascalon Settlement, but the rude woman keeps interrupting me. The Settlement [sic] is northwest of here. You should be able to follow the signs and get there safely.
Intermediate dialogue
Devona: "We should get going. The sooner we can get to the settlement, [sic] the better. I hear Captain Greywind is overseeing things, so we should check with him when we get there. Lead the way, <character name>, and we'll follow."
Reward dialogue
Welcome to our new home. I can't help but think that it's tragic for us to have fought so hard and come so far only to land in a place like this. Ettins and Tengu assault us from all sides, not to mention those skale and imps. To make matters worse, we are lacking in all but the most basic supplies.

Getting there
The Ascalon Settlement is located in the northwestern corner of the North Kryta Province, near the portal into the Nebo Terrace and near the beaches of the Giant's Basin .
