The locked door is inside that tunnel you're trying to get in. You need to go around the far side of the tunnel where the door will let you in, when you go down and deal with the rats, halfway along on the left there is a locked door which your key opens.

This is Loretta, but you need to unceremoniously cut her down, then go down through the house and out in order to actually collect the bone.
