There is also lots of arable land for growing more crops, and establishing water lines. The homestead is in an extremely dangerous part of the Commonwealth, so raids are frequent and defenses are essentially mandatory to maintain the settlement.
Layout
Once an old sewage treatmant plant, the layers of filth have composted nicely into some of the best farming land, now rife with mutfruits and tatos, run by the Warwick family. Roger Warick leads the family and can be appealed to as part of the Minutemen to ally the settlement. For trading, you can talk to June for basic supplies.
