We were only interested in the basic service and we made that very clear when the tech arrived. We asked for the system to be connected to our landline. The installation was on August 6, 2018, we did not receive the contract until August 11, 2018 and when we reviewed it the tech upgraded us to a cell connection with a monthly payment of 48.99 per month!!!!! The company, btw NOT ADT but Defender, would not allow us to cancel because it was past three days, however how could we cancel earlier as we did not have a copy of our contract until five days later.... we have tried many times to have this resolved through phone calls but have been treated extremely rude and no one will help us. We called the fraud department at our bank and they are investigating but we do not trust this company and fear further problems down the line. How can they stay in business operating like this? We want to be part of a class action suit. This is downright FRAUD!!!!!!

Where I live we used Pulse system. ADT discontinued that service due to AT&T issues in January 2017. The did not notify their customers. Said they did. but did not. It was an extra 4#0 something dollars per month for a service that did not work. I found out it is for the entire county of VanZandt Texas. If you did not have a land line as a backup or primary.
