YOU SHOULD GIVE DAG THE AXE because it's one of the game's five key choices to make that drastically affects the ending of the game. If you're after the true ending, give Dag his axe. A cutscene will play after you make your choice. This concludes the quest.
Should I agree with DAG or Randvi?
Should You Spare the Attacker's Life? If you kill him, Dag will respect you and tell you that Sigurd will be proud. Randvi will not be happy about this decision because she says she could have sent spies after him. If you choose to spare the man, Dag will be unhappy with you but Randvi will be glad you spared his life.
What is DAGS problem with Eivor?

Should I join or stay Dag?
When the rescue mission to save Sigurd is ready, you have the choice to ask him to join or stay to do as he pleases. Dag says he must stay back to watch over the settlement. Whether you tell him he must join or he can do what he wants, Dag will make the choice not to take this journey with you.
Can you romance Randvi and still get the good ending?
The original guide here warned about getting a bad ending due to romancing Randvi. This is certainly possible, but it is avoidable; players can romance Randvi and good a good ending. They can also steer clear of getting a strike.
