Should I get Sim settlements 1 or 2?

Sim Settlements 1 - Works as intended Sim Settlements 2 - Has a pretty annoying progression system to unlock certain key features. The story is nice but the mechanics are broken. And certain plot types are barely functional.

What's new in SIM settlements auto-assignment?

Fixed a quirk in Sim Settlements auto-assignment code where an NPC could end up auto-assigned to extra plots under certain circumstances. Any Creation Club dogs found installed will be added to the potential pets that new settlers can show up with.

What happened to the shelter fix in SIM settlements?

Changed the way the Sim Settlements Shelter Fix works. (The shelter fix is a solution to the vanilla game bug where you get a happiness penalty for beds not having a roof, even though they have one.) The shelter fix no longer runs automatically by default.

What is the new thread pool for SIM settlements?

Location change events and game load events now use the thread pool, this should allow for Sim Settlements to process things much more quickly when arriving in a settlement or loading your game. If you experience fast travel crashes after this patch - you’ll want to reduce the Max Threads to a low number (such as 5 or less).

Does Sim settlements require DLC?

Chapter 2 will be its own plugin that requires Sim Settlements 2 to be installed (which itself requires Workshop Framework). In addition, Chapter 2 will require the official Automatron Fallout DLC. The team plans to release this huge mod sometime in the Fall of 2021.

I'm very new to sim settlements mod , especially to conquerer. I just conquered my first settlements. When I try to open the workshop it says that I am not allied with this settlement. I'm dumb or you can't build in them?

SS2 Unique Settler Dialogue Bug?

So I've completed the quest to recruit the Powell family and sent them to the Castle. For awhile now, every time I talk to (or just walk by) Julia, she pops off the crier dialogue for the clinic, ie "buy your chems here!" kind of thing.

What is settlement creation kit?

Settlement Creation Kit - this is just a pre-defined bundle of components, which includes just enough resources to make a City Planner's Desk, a medium generator, a recruitment beacon, and enough foundations to stick a Logistics Station plot onto. Created because I could never remember which or how many resources to take to set these things up. Note that these have a slight cooldown after crafting (like 10 seconds) to discourage exploting them for free exp.

Where is settlement location recorded?

Made some improvements to the way location data is extracted from settlements; settlement location is now recorded at the exact location of the map marker whenever possible, instead of the workbench.

How to enable surplus auto collection?

This feature is toggled off in the terminal by default; to enable it, simply access a logistics terminal and select [Collection Settings] -> [Global Collection Settings...] -> [Toggle: Collection Disabled]. Once enabled, commonly produced settlement output will begin to be collected from the workbenches in your logistics network and deposited into your Logistics Storage container. This collection will automatically happen once per game-day, synchronized with the standard workshop daily update cycle.

Redistribution statistics automatically update themselves once a day, in sync with the standard workshop daily update cycle, or may be manually updated under the [Utility] section of any logistics terminal.

Why are base plot models tagged?

Tagged the base plot building models so that you can manually place things on top of them, instead of the the thing trying to clip into the floor or whatever.

Is Bethesda mesh rehashed?

All meshes are rehashed Bethesda assets and may be freely used pursuant to whatever Bethesda's license for asset use is.

Hey guys if there are any mod authors here that work in fallout 4 creation kit please comment on this thread. I am working on a more accurate fix for the FO4VR Automatron DLC workbench and crowd sourcing ideas is always a good idea.
