How do you go in and proplerly hack to turn off/disable a power grid without shooting at stuff and destroying it up? There is no way to hack it and disable it without blowing it up. You have to destroy it. These are easy. Just get close to the settlement and wait for it to show up as a target. Don't even have to leave your ship.

Yes, there's no way aside from physically destroying Powergrid. However, I recommend not to approach any settlement with bigger than Light security on ship. better park 2-3 Km away, so you don't trigger any trasspasses.
