
For Java and Bedrock, you can expect to find clay in rivers and shallow lakes. Clay will typically only spawn near, or in, water. Look around watery areas of your map to find this gray-ish block. Solved - Supply lines between settlements
Hello, I'm an old Fallout 4 player but completely new to sim settlements and I'm a bit lost on how to link my settlements for resources. I'm playing with the latest version, conqueror, using prebuilt settlements at the start of the game and the city plans that come by default with the mod for the ones that are not prebuilt (like the castle etc)

I dunno how it is in Vanilla sim settlements, I use IDEK's sim settlements logistic station. IIRC, it is needed so the supply lines know how to work with Sim Settlements-specific needs, not just vanilla food/water requirements.

Getting Started
Important Note: the assumption of this page (and it's content) is that you already have the core "Sim Settlements" mod installed and enabled (either Sim Settlements or Sim Settlements Lite). If not, please do that now (or at least make sure to do it before you try to do any of the actions or follow any of the suggestions on this page.
First Steps
Sim Settlements needs for you "find" the Sim Settlements holotape called "City Manager 2078 Holotape" (in game) before you can start using Sim Settlements.
What is settlement creation kit?
Settlement Creation Kit - this is just a pre-defined bundle of components, which includes just enough resources to make a City Planner's Desk, a medium generator, a recruitment beacon, and enough foundations to stick a Logistics Station plot onto. Created because I could never remember which or how many resources to take to set these things up. Note that these have a slight cooldown after crafting (like 10 seconds) to discourage exploting them for free exp.
Where is settlement location recorded?
Made some improvements to the way location data is extracted from settlements; settlement location is now recorded at the exact location of the map marker whenever possible, instead of the workbench.

This feature is toggled off in the terminal by default; to enable it, simply access a logistics terminal and select [Collection Settings] -> [Global Collection Settings...] -> [Toggle: Collection Disabled]. Once enabled, commonly produced settlement output will begin to be collected from the workbenches in your logistics network and deposited into your Logistics Storage container. This collection will automatically happen once per game-day, synchronized with the standard workshop daily update cycle.
Why are base plot models tagged?
Tagged the base plot building models so that you can manually place things on top of them, instead of the the thing trying to clip into the floor or whatever.
