For a post nuclear apocalyptic game radiation is basically ignorable, it's not that hard to avoid getting rads by wearing power armour and other such clothing that almost completely nullifies radiation and even if you do get irradiated you can get rid of rads extremely easily with radaway which is you can find literally everywhere.

The trash in Fallout 4 is totally immersion breaking

We are expected to believe that these large, well established settlements that have existed for DECADES somehow are just chilling around these piles of garbage in their living spaces, floors littered with bricks, pre war fast food trash, broken planks of wood, and general debris from the war? Take Goodneighbor, which is over 40 years old; Every establishment in the town has loose building debris and pre war trash in it, bricks, tiles, and concrete chunks loose in the walkways, and the hotel room you rent, and the building in general, looks like they were discovered last week.
