Precombined meshes can only be broken by mods and INI-tweaks. You can not break them in the game. Mods like Scrap Everything and Spring Cleaning will break meshes from settlements.

This ^ I use STC & STS and they work fine with Conquest. Yeah it doesn't break precombines. Just avoid Scrap Fallout and Scrap Everything. As those do break them.

How do you break a precombine?

Trees inside settlements are often not in a precombine so they can be scrapped while the vast majority of those outside of settlements are precombined. Alterations to items in a precombine in a cell will break ALL precombines in that cell but only those in that cell.

Is it possible to regenerate broken precombines?

Other green mods on XB1/PC may regenerate broken precombines but doing so will create a large file size (typically over 500MB if the change is across the whole map). if it’s only those items that are procedurally generated then it will be fine but if other small items like decals or static grass is removed that will break the precombine/previs.

Not a stupid post, a very sensible and thoughtful one. Pity that it’s not doable - we have to content ourselves with the limits that Bethesda gave us.

That should not be possible at Abernathy unless you are running a mod which breaks precombines in the area.

Can you calculate scrap in F4SE?

A: It's not technically possible to calculate this automatically, not even with F4SE. The different levels of scrapper perks change the situation, manually creating multiple scrap result lists per settlement is a pain, mod created settlements change the situation further, and overall it's just huge hassle. An option to give an estimated average of scrap received by shipment has been added but beyond that the answer is going to be most likely no. Don't bother quoting mods at us that appear to do this, they do it via brute force hand coding in many hundreds (or 1000+) of objects. And it's still not accurate because it doesn't take into consideration scrapper perks. That's not a reasonable solution.
